Bradford Collum

Mr. Bradford H. Collum, 67, of Cartersville passed away Friday August 9, 2013 at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital.

Born December 23, 1945 in Cartersville, he was the son of the late Wesley Collum and the late Myrtle Green Collum. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, James Collum, Billy Collum, Lousie Davis, Randolph Collum, Carol Adams, Dimple Collum, Sybille Camp, Claudell Welchel, and Clifton Collum. Mr. Collum was a lifelong resident of Bartow County who loved NASCAR racing, fishing, old western movies, playing the lottery and spending time with his grandchildren. He was hard working, patient, never in a hurry and always had a smile on his face.

Survivors include his daughter, Karen Collum of Calhoun; his "like a daughter", Samantha Wilkerson; his sons, Bradley and Rhonda Collum of Cartersville, Verta and Sheila Collum of Rydal and Jerome and Felisha Collum of Cartersville; his brother, Roy Collum; his sisters, Pearl Kimble and Wilma Jean Grady; sixteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 12, 2013 at Oak Hill Baptist Church in Rydal with the Reverend Reggie Temples officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Monday at the church. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Kendall Collum, Verta Collum, Jr., Tyler Collum, Chaz Jones, Dustin Collum and Justin Collum. These gentlemen are asked to be at the funeral home by noon on Monday.
