Brenda Franklin

Brenda Joyce Franklin (Johnson) "Nana", 71, of Cartersville, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2025. Born on November 30, 1953, in Fairmount, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Hubert Johnson, Sr. and the late Sarah Holmes Johnson. She is also preceded in death by her brothers, Delbert Johnson and Terry Johnson; and several aunts and uncles.

Brenda loved her family better than snuff. Red Lobster was her favorite restaurant in the whole world. Sweet tea and fried taters were a delicacy to her. She loved her dogs, especially Mo, Max, and Killer. She was a dedicated viewer of Days of Our Lives. Brenda never met a stranger and would feed them all.

Survivors include her children, Todd Turner (Dawn Sanders), Gary Turner, Joshua Franklin (Jennifer), TJ Turner (Stephanie), Kristi Turner (Jacoby Dragg), and Kevin Henderson; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Le Fave (Andrew), Sara Turner-Stegall (Steven), Autumn Hood, Tiffani Wyatt, Alexis Franklin (Douglas), and Josh Franklin, Jr. (Amber); 28 great grandchildren; and siblings, Glenda Hyde, Ricky Johnson (Allison), JR Johnson (Melanie), Dudley Wilson, and John Johnson; and several aunts and uncles.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, in the Parnick Jennings Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Jeremy Prather officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, prior to the service. Burial will follow at Ryo Pleasant Grove Church Cemetery in Fairmount.

Serving as pallbearers will be Josh Franklin, Lil Man Franklin, Lance Johnson, Brian Johnson, TJ Turner, and Stephen Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Todd Turner, Gary Turner, JR Johnson, Ricky Johnson, and John Johnson.
