Brenda Temples, 77, of Cartersville passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at her residence.
Born on May 17, 1947 she was the daughter of the late Clyde Groce, and the late Velma Freeman Groce. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Dennis Temples; her second husband, Robert Milam; and her brothers James Groce, and Wayne Groce.
Brenda was a retired beautician who had a flair for fashion, she loved anything purple and leopard printed clothes. She was an avid collector of rings and wore two on every finger. Brenda was artistic and a very talented painter and piano player, playing the piano at Center Baptist Church and Bethany Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Lorri Wilson; her grandsons, Jesse Morris (Stephanie), and Zach Morris; her great-grandson, Everett Morris; her great-granddaughter Kendall Faith Morris; her sister, Linda Newberry; her special daughter, Pearl Taylor; and her sisters-in-law, Jane Groce, and Daisy Groce.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home. The service will follow at 2:00 pm with Dan Willis and Shae Satterfield officiating. Burial will at Center Baptist Church.
Serving as pallbearers will be Zach Millsap, Joseph Ingram, Lucas Lester, Nate Gravely, Troy Hartness, Steven Fortenberry, Jeff Edmondson, and James "Bubba" Layton. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be John John Ross.
In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions in Brenda's honor to her family.
