Buddy Wilson

Mr. Buddy E. Wilson, 76, of Taylorsville, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, July 11, 2010 at Starcrest of Cartersville. A native of Bartow County, born March 1, 1934, he was the son of the late Homer Theodore Wilson and the late Stella Mae Flowers Wilson. He is preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Geraldine Buford and Ruth Buford and his brother, Homer Wilson, Jr.



Buddy retired from Clorox Company, formerly known as Union Carbide, and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served in Korea during the Korean Conflict. He was lifetime member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars, an honorary member of the Georgia Sheriffs� Association, and a member of Creekside Fellowship Church where he served as an Honorary Deacon.



He is survived by his wife of fifty four years, Annie Jo Evans Wilson; his daughter and son-in-law, Theresa and Raymon Kitson; his son and daughter-in-law, Lamar and Lynne Wilson; his grandchildren, Trevor Wilson, Devin Kitson and fianc�e Whitney Wood, Ryan Wilson and fianc�e Jessica Bennett; his sisters, Christine Moreland and Shirley Bozeman; his brothers, Howell Wilson and Billy Wilson; his special friends, Randy Watson and Fred McMahan of Gatlinburg, Tennessee and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.



Funeral services will be held at noon, Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at Creekside Fellowship Church with Pastor Mike Abernathy officiating. Rev. James Black will be officiating at Georgia National Cemetery where the burial will take place with full military graveside honors.



Pallbearers are asked to meet at Creekside Fellowship Church at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday and will include: Jason Morrow, Layton Jenkins, Keith Wilkie, Jack House, Jerry Selby and Richard Douglas. Larry Cook and Daniel Arrington will serve as honorary pallbearers.



The family will receive friends from 6 � 9 p.m., Tuesday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville.
