C. Gwen Lowry

Ms. Gwen Lowry, 74, of Cartersville, died Friday, December 26, 2014 at Cartersville Medical Center. A native of Bartow County, she was born August 19, 1940, the daughter of the late Frank Lowry and Clara Jackson Lowry.

Gwen was a lifelong member of Atco Baptist Church. She was full of life, very determined, opinionated, spunky and spoke her mind. She also loved her grand-daughter and spending time with her. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Leroy "Lee" Broadaway Jr., her brother, Frank Honea Lowry and a sister, Francis Clark.

Survivors include her son, Sean Broadaway (Paula); her granddaughter, Sophia Broadaway; her brother, Tommy Lowry; her sisters, Debra Huskins, Jane Jefferson, Sara Jo Sanchez and Phyllis Fuqua; along with several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Open Bible Wesleyan Church, 1468 Hwy 411, Cartersville, Ga.
