Mr. Carl L. Beattie, 66, of Cartersville, died Wednesday, July 3, 2013, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born in Newellton, Louisiana on February 1, 1947, he was the son of the late Earl Kinning Beattie and the late Maudie Lee Wilson. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Robert Beattie and his step-father, Thomas Corpe.
He is survived by his children, Carl James Beattie, Richard Dobrow, Theodore Peeples, Christopher Beattie and Dr. Michelle Bonner; his grandchildren, Justin James Beattie, Tyler McKensie Brinn, Taylor Martin and Miles Dobrow; and his nieces, Leah and Aura Beattie.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
