Carlene Lavon Brown, 52 of Kingston, Georgia, departed this life on July 24, 2024. She was born on June 20, 1972 in Doctor's Inlet, Florida. She is preceded in death by her mother Vera Lavon Baker McGushion and her grandmother Lou Annie Baker.
Carlene grew up in Okeechobee Florida. She liked to paint, write poetry, read books, play with her cats, and spend time with her family. She married Brian on April 11, 1992 and were married for 32 years. She adored the Harry Potter series and her favorite TV show was The Great British Bake Off which she always watched repeatedly. She also enjoyed different genres of music and her current favorite musicians are BTS. Carlene was very creative and when she was younger, she would express this through her wardrobe and changing her hair color and style, sometimes weekly. She worked as a CNA in nursing homes and loved what she did. Taking care of others was something she enjoyed doing, especially when it came to caring for her family. When she became a mother, it meant everything to her. She loved her family with her whole being and always wanted to give them more. Her loss will be one we feel forever.
She leaves behind her husband, Brian Anthony Brown; her children, Garreth Lestat Brown and Grayson Nichelle Brown; cousin Melissa Herndon McKinney her husband Glen, and sons Christoper Bard Adams and Pierce; cousin Roland and Jennifer Herndon and family; and aunt Louise and uncle Bo Herndon.
A memorial gathering of family and friends will be held from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home & Cremation Services located at 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, Georgia 30120.
