Carmen Perez Alvarez

Maria Carmen Perez Alvarez, 81, of Adairsville, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2025. Born on May 18, 1944, in Jesús María, Mexico, she was the daughter of the late Mateo Perez and the late Josefina Alvarez Pedroza. Carmen is also preceded in death by her husband, Emilio Leon; daughter, Maria Luisa Leon Perez; daughter-in-law, Stacey Leon; sister, Magdalena Perez Alvarez; and brothers, Felipe Perez Alvarez and David Perez Alvarez.

Carmen was the best in everything she did. She loved her family very much.

Survivors include her children, Martin Leon, Jose Luis Leon, Maria Guadalupe Leon (Renato), and Maria Olivia (Juan Salinas); 12 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and brothers, Miguel Perez (Guadalupe), Jose Maria Perez (Bonnie), and Pedro Perez.

A funeral mass will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church with Father Kevin officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Thursday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home, prior to the funeral mass.
