Ms. Carol Ann �Sissy� Brock, age 67, of 108 Marshall Lane SW, Rome, GA, died Wednesday, September 24, 2008, in a local hospital.



Ms. Brock was born in Floyd County, GA, on December 23, 1940, the daughter of the late John Albert Lewis and Lillian Lucile Camp Lewis. She worked for Coosa Bakery for fourteen years as a machine operator. Ms. Brock also enjoyed being a caregiver and a volunteer for the Red Cross. In addition to her parents Ms. Brock was preceded in death by a son, Robert Eugene Allen in 2002.



Survivors include a son, Phillip �Phil� Burchett of Tyler, TX; two daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and Roy Hamm, II of Rome and Teresa and Dean Cowart of Rome; four grandsons, Chris Cook of Dallas, GA, Jonathon Loveless of Rome, Blake Burchett of LA, and Travis Turner of Rome; two granddaughters, Brittani Burchett of LA and Tiffany Cowart of Rome; and three great-grandchildren, Tasia Cook of Dallas, Courtney Cook of CO, and Ethan Loveless of Rome.



Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 28, 2008, at 1:30 P.M. in the Oaknoll Chapel of McGuire, Jennings, and Miller Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.



The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. in the Oaknoll Chapel of the McGuire, Jennings, and Miller Funeral Home.



The following gentlemen have been asked to serve as pallbearers and are requested to meet in the Oaknoll Chapel of the Jennings Funeral Home on Sunday by 1:00 P.M.: Chris Cook, Jonathon Loveless, Travis Turner, Phillip Mulkey, Mark Burchett, and Blair Fricks.
