Carol Smith

December 17, 1939 — April 22, 2011

Carol Margaret Smith, 71, of Dawson, AL and formerly of Cassville Road, Cartersville passed away Friday, April 22, 2011 at her residence. Born in Indianapolis, Indiana on December 17, 1939 she was the daughter of the late Thomas Parr and the late Gertrude Gallagher Parr. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Tommy Parr.



Carol was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Cartersville, and since moving to Dawson in 2006, a member of the Skirum United Methodist Church.



Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Crayton Smith; her daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Gary Nations of Cartersville; her sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Laura Smith of Cartersville, Allen Smith of Dawson, Alabama, Greg and Kathy Smith of Dallas, Joe Smith of Marietta, and Todd and Nikki Smith of Turnerville; her grandchildren, Angie, Blake, Stormi, David, Stephanie, Bradley, Abby, Amber, Nick, Hayden, and Crayton; her great grandchildren, Micaela, Trinity, Christopher, Tyler, Nathan, Brycen, and Aiden; and her sister, Marilyn Pace of Acworth.



Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Tuesday, April 26, 2011 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, with her son Reverend Greg Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Sunset Memory Gardens.



The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6 � 8 pm at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.



Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Smith, Allen Smith, Joe Smith, Todd Smith, Blake Nations, and David Smith. These gentlemen are asked to be at the funeral home by1:15 on Tuesday.
