Mrs. Carolyn Couch, 65, of White, died Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at her residence. A native of Bartow County, born October 11, 1945, she was the daughter of the late O.P. Simpson and the late Retha Evans Simpson. Preceding her in death along with her parents are a son, Timothy Couch; one brother, Milton Simpson and one sister, Ellen Owens.
She was a member of Oakland Heights Baptist Church and was the Plant Manager of Optimum Technologies before her illness.
She is survived by her husband of forty-nine years, Virgil Couch; her son, Steve Couch and wife, Cindy; her grandchildren, Tim, Marc, Derek and Stephanie Couch; her sisters, Peggy Lee and Elma Cornwell; two great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Friday, July 8, 2011 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Joe Mckaig officiating. Burial will follow in Rowland Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers are asked to meet at the funeral home on Friday at 12:15 p.m. and will include: Tim, Marc and Derek Couch, Doyle Proctor, Shannon Tapley, Brandon Tanner, Kyle and Ryan Tomlinson.
The family will receive friends tonight from 5 � 9 p.m. at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville.
