Carolyn Gayton

Mrs. Carolyn Jacobs Gayton, 69, of Adairsville, died Friday, May 8, 2015 at her residence.
Born December 6, 1945 in Cartersville, GA, she was a daughter of the late Carey Lee Jacobs and the late Lorena Sutton Jacobs. She was a member of Gospel Temple Church. She loved to travel and shop. Carolyn loved her grandchildren and kept her house very clean. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Phillip Gayton; sisters, Shirley Watts, Dorothy Bagley, Annie Ruth Atkins, Meg Head; brother, Reverend James Buddy Jacobs.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Benny Gayton of Adairsville; sons, Johnny Mac Gayton and his wife Christy of Cartersville, Benny Dewayne Gayton of Adairsville; daughters, Beth Grier of Adairsville, Wendy Harris and her husband Gary of Adairsville; sister, Margie Cochran; special sisters-in-law, Betty Patterson, Bertia Hardin, Sue Ingle; fifteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday, May 11, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Greg Patterson officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, May 10, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Austin Harris, Isaac Harris, Camryn Gayton, Skylar Gayton, Logan Gayton and Andrew Grier.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 7th fl., New York, NY 10001 in honor of Mrs. Carolyn Gayton.
