Carolyn Owens

Mrs. Carolyn �Sam� Owens, age 46, of Rome, GA died Tuesday, November 24, 2009 in a Rome hospital.



Mrs. Owens was born in Floyd County, GA daughter of Shirley Heath Eury and the late Joe Eury. She attended East Rome School and for many years worked as a CNA with the Fifth Avenue Nursing Home. Mrs. Owens was a loving mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and aunt. In addition to her father Mrs. Owens was preceded in death by a brother, Anthony Wade Eury in April, 1971.



Survivors include her mother, a son Christopher Aaron Godfrey of Rome, GA; a daughter, Candy Coxaj and Adan of Rome, GA; grandchildren, Katlin and Joseph Richardson and Adan Hernandez; a sister, Lisa (Jimmy) Tilley of Rome, GA.



A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, November 28, 2009 at 12 noon in the Heritage Chapel of the McGuire, Jennings & Miller Funeral Home with Pastor Glenn Clonts officiating.
