Catherine Chapman

Catherine R. Chapman, 85, of Cartersville passed away Saturday, February 18, 2012, at Cartersville Medical Center. Born November 5, 1926, in Taylorsville, GA. She was the daughter of the late Authur Roberson and the late Julia Law Roberson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clyde A. Chapman, Jr.; her sister, Doris Fowler; and her brothers, Erwin Roberson and Clyde Roberson.



Catherine was a homemaker and a member of the Red Hat Society. She loved to travel and loved her church. She was a member of Five Forks Baptist Church.



Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Gary L. and Sharon Chapman and Reverend Phillip W. and Deborah Chapman; her daughter and son-in-law, Lynda L. and Charles Willis, Sr.; her grandchildren, Charles Willis, Jr., Shawn Willis, Dawn Chapman, Misty Thompson, Anja Ferguson, Rachael Curtis, and Kay Chapman; and ten great grandchildren.



Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 21, 2012, in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with the Reverend Fred Lee and the Reverend Albert Summey officiating. Interment will follow in Cassville Cemetery.



Serving as pallbearers will be Charles Willis, Jr., Shawn Willis, Jermey Ferguson, Jack Darnell, Randy Curtis, and Cain Knox. Honorary pallbearers include Harley Gayton, Brent Hartsfield, Larry Fowler, Ronnie Fowler, Harold Fowler, and John Mallory. These gentlemen are asked to be at the funeral home by 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday.



The family will receive friends from 6 � 9 p.m. on Monday, February 20, 2012, at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.
