Mrs. Catherine Pattillo Posey, age 86, of White, passed away Monday, January 2, 2011 at her residence. Born November 21, 1925, in Jacksonville, Florida, she was the daughter of the late Erbie Bartow Pattillo and the late Eula Hale Pattillo.
Mrs. Posey was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands W.L. Posey and Joseph Posey; brothers, Erbie Pattillo, Robert Pattillo, and Donald Pattillo.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Hugh Hendrix of White; her step-daughter, Vicky Nelson and husband, Charles of West Virginia; a brother, James Pattillo of Decatur, Georgia; her granddaughter, Jill Johnson and husband Bobby of Cassville; grandson, Joe Hendrix and wife Christi of Adairsville; two great grandchildren, Hayley Hendrix and Alexis Hendrix, both of Adairsville.
An Inurnment service will be held at a later date in the Georgia National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4 � 8 p.m., Friday, January 6, 2012 at the residence, which is located at 516 Richards Road, White, GA 30184.
Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Road Cartersville, GA. 30120, has charge of arrangements for Mrs. Catherine Pattillo Posey.
