Cathy Lillian Strickland Lee

Cathy Lillian Strickland Lee, 71, of Cartersville passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2023.

Born on November 17, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Eugene Strickland and the late Daisey Katherine Pressley Strickland. Cathy is also preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Sue Brown; brother, Mickey Strickland; and brother, Mark Brown.

Cathy enjoyed gardening and had a green-thumb for growing different types of flowers. She also loved to spend time with her loving grandchildren and her precious dogs, D, Buster, and Molly. Cathy was a beloved member of Oakland Heights Baptist Church where she was active in the Senior Saints as well as the Backpack Buddy Program.

Survivors include her husband, J.D. Lee; daughter Nickie (Wesley) Crump; son Corey (Kandy) Lee; son Keith (Brandi) Lee; and son Kenney (Marsha) Lee; grandchildren, Christopher (Laken) Womack; Branden Lee; Jesse (Rachael) Womack; Kelsey (Jacob) Mitchell; Lauren (Mason) Heath; Blake (Matthew) Somsen; Tanner Lee; Tereasa Lee; Haley (Devon) Spires; Logan Lee; Kinsley Lee; and Wes (Ashley) Crump; great-grandchildren, Lorelei Womack; Ranger Heath; Holden Heath; Jack Womack; Cole Crump; Link Crump; and Marley Crump; and siblings, Jerry (Patricia) Strickland; Tommy (Kathy) Strickland; Larry (Jennie) Strickland; Robert (Cissy) Strickland; Davy (Candace) Strickland; and Karen Strickland.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 6, 2023 at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with Sammy Burgess, Robert Strickland, and Joe McKaig speaking. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens with James Dekoker speaking. The family will have a visitation on Sunday, March 5, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home.

Serving as Pallbearers are Christopher Womack, Jesse Womack, Branden Lee, Tanner Lee, Logan Lee, Mason Heath, Jacob Mitchell, Matthew Somsen, and Devon Spires. Honorary Pallbearers will be Cathy's brothers Jerry Strickland, Tommy Strickland, Larry Strickland, Robert Strickland, and Davy Strickland.
