Mrs. Celia Ann Ross, 80, of Cartersville, widow of the late Joel Eldon "Stumpy" Ross, died Sunday, November 4, 2012 at Townsend Park Health & Rehabilitation.

Born May 19, 1932 in Cartersville, she was a daughter of the late Logan Bearden and the late Ann Craig Bearden. Mrs. Ross was an active member of First Baptist Church for over 60 years, where she was involved with the Homebound Ministry, the Atkinson Circle, and the Ruth Sunday School Class. She was also active with Meals on Wheels, the Magnolia Garden Club, and the Cartersville Women's Club. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, James Bearden and Willard Bearden; and sisters, Inez Cochran and Ailene Cline.

Survivors include her sons, Joel Ross and his wife Shelley of Acworth, Jeffery Ross and his wife Lisa of Cartersville, and John Ross, also of Cartersville; brother, Herman Bearden and his wife Genevieve of Cartersville; grandchildren, Bryn Ross, Amy Ross, and Brandi Ross; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church with The Reverend Randall Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home. Her nephews will be serving as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers.
