Charissa Ray

Charissa Lynn Ray, 56, of Cartersville passed away Sunday, January 01, 2012 at Cartersville Medical Center. Born in Ringgold on October 7, 1955 she was the daughter of the late Charles �Doc� Hartness and the late Virginia Morgan Ray. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Jenna Lynn Ray; her brother, Dennis Hartness; her sister, Audrey Hartness; and her step-father, Jim Ray. Charissa was a homemaker and a member of Creekside Fellowship Church.



Survivors include her husband, Jimmy L. Ray; her sons and daughter-in-law, Douglas Stiles, and Scotty and Linda Ray; her brothers, Ronald Hartness, Richard Hartness, Jimmy Hartness, and Timmy Ray; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Angie and Donald McKinnon, Laura Jo and Wayne Burgess, and Lisa Gentry; her grandchildren, D.J. Stiles, Damon Ray, and Landyn Ray; and several nieces and nephews.



Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 3, 2011 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with the Reverend Michael Abernathy and the Reverend Daniel Arrington officiating. Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery.



The family will receive friends from 6 � 9 p.m. on Monday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.
