Charles William Combs III, 46, of Cartersville, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022, in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Born on June 29, 1975, in Rockmart, Georgia, he is the son of Freda Sue Taylor and the late Charles "Billy" William Combs Jr. He is also preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Charles William Combs Sr. and Mary Shell Combs of Aragon GA; maternal grandmother Jacqueline Louise Hopper Holcomb of Rockmart GA; Stepfather Billy Joe Taylor of Hampton GA; and Stepbrother Dusty Rogers of Aragon GA.
Survivors include his husband, Octavio Alvarez of Cartersville GA; his daughter Shelby Grace Walls (Dakota) of Rockmart GA; son Cameron James Combs (Andrea) of Atlanta GA; mother of the children Louise Beatrice Hurst; grandchildren Preston Alexander Combs, Huntlee Rhett Walls, and Greyson William Reign Walls of Rockmart GA; mother Freda Sue Taylor (Kevin Dieter); sister MeShell Combs Morgan (Maurice) of Aragon GA; brother Robert Allen Combs (Brandy) of Lindale GA; stepmother Paula Johnson of Conyers GA; stepbrothers Bobby Joe Taylor of Forest Park GA, Jesse Rogers of Rockmart GA, Chris Medlin of Greenville SC, and Timmy Johnson of Conyers GA; stepsister Serena Taylor of Forest Park GA; Grandfather John T. Holcomb of Rockmart GA; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He lived most of his life in Aragon and Cartersville Georgia. He loved his job, driving a truck over the road for the majority of his life.
Charles loved dancing and listening to music, but his greatest joy was spending time with his grandsons. He was a loving husband, son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, nephew, and cousin. He will be missed by all.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Friday, February 11, 2022, in the Chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with Derrick Tilley Officiating. Family will receive friends Friday, February 11, 2022, from 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm prior to the service.
