Charles Dover

Charles �Chuck� Hudson Dover, 80, of Cartersville died Thursday, November 19, 2009 at the Cartersville Medical Center. A native of Bartow County, he was born March 19, 1929 and was the son of the late Roy Alvin Dover and the late Ruby Dover. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Marlene Wallace Dover.



Chuck was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and was a self-employed fixture maker. He enjoyed messing around with cars, gambling, and being with his dogs.



Srvivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Dianne Dover, Alvin and Paula Dover, and Danny and Regina Cole; his daughter, Shirley Tims; his step-son, Kenny and Deborah Martin; his grandchildren, Kathy Stephens, Daniel Dover, Steven Dover, Lisa Dover, Michael Dover, Jessica Dover, Kim Dover, Kevin Dover, Christine Cochran, Bryan Byrd, and Maria Harrison; his great-grandchildren, Tyler Burke, Sydney Stephens, Jerrsie Stephens, Alexis Dover, Hailey Dover, Nathan Dover, Tracy Cochran, Cody Lane Dover, Ronnie Cochran, Brandon Massey, Britney Tumlin, Tina Wilson, Jeff Wilson, and Russell Popham.



Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, November 22, 2009 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Burial will follow in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Acworth.



Serving as pallbearers will be Daniel Dover, Robert Dover, Steven Dover, Michael Dover, Kenny Martin, and Dan Martin.



The family will receive friends from 6 � 9 p.m., Saturday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.
