Charles �Otis� Henry Farmer, Sr., 54, of Adairsville died Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at his residence. Born October 11, 1954 in Bartow County, he was the son of Norman E. Farmer, Jr. and the late Annie Lou Clark Farmer. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Elsie Lou and N.E. Farmer, Sr. and Mary Lou and J.T. Clark.
Henry was a member of the Without Walls Church and the Cartersville Lodge #63 F&AM. He was employed by Edward A. Scott Trucking Company as a truck driver where he was known by his CB handle, �Otis.� Henry enjoyed fishing; collecting guns, knives and stamps; and NASCAR racing.
Survivors include his wife of thirty-five years, Dennie �Faye� Green Farmer of Adairsville; his sons and daughters-in-law, Ken and Staci Hughes of Cassville, Charlie and Shelly Farmer, Jr. of Cassville, and John and Beth Farmer of Adairsville; his father and step-mother, Norman E. and Frances Farmer of Adairsville; his siblings, Dave and Laura Farmer of Rome, Larry and Brenda Farmer of Hiram, Donald Roberts of Douglasville, Mary and James Sanders of Waleska, Junior Farmer of Adairsville, Millard and Brenda Farmer of Adairsville, Noah Farmer of Adairsville, Lewis and Julie Farmer of Adairsville, and Louise and Elihue Summey of Adairsville; his grandchildren, Seth and Morgan Hughes, Lexie Farmer, and Abbey Bunch; his aunts and uncles, Helen and Thomas Sutton of Calhoun, Charles and JoAnn Farmer of Adairsville, and John and Bea Farmer of Orlando, Florida; a cousin, Albert Summey of Adairsville; his spiritual sons, Arnie and Michael Stover; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., March 28, 2009 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Pastor Ronnie Cline and Pastor Tim McKinley officiating. Burial will follow in Tilley Bend Cemetery in Blue Ridge at 3:00 p.m.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jeremy Green, Kyle Adams, Phil Green, Ray Pruitt, Michael Green, Shane Carr, John Farmer, and Tim Green. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Noah Farmer, Junior Farmer, Millard Farmer, Jimmy Rampley, Johnny Davenport, Lewis Farmer, and Tim Howell. Gentlemen serving as pallbearers are requested to meet at the funeral home by 10:15 a.m. on Saturday.
The family will receive friends from 4 � 9 p.m. Friday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.
