Charles Hembree

September 16, 1938 — March 12, 2025

Charles Hembree, 86 of Cartersville, passed away on March 12, 2025. He was born in Dallas Georgia on September 16, 1938 to the late Charlie A. Hembree and the late Elsie Davenport Hembree. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by several siblings and many other family members.

Charles was a home builder for over 53 years and built countless homes in Bartow County. He was a master carpenter that took great pride in what he did and he loved doing it. He adored his family, especially his grandchildren and they loved him just as much.

Survivors include his wife, Margie Hembree; his children Phoebe Martin (Frank), Wesley Hembree, Terry Bell (Russell), Winona Heath, and Wendell Hembree; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters Betty Mae Garrison and Ruby Lee Owens; and his brother, Dewey Hembree.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 in the funeral homes chapel with Keith Willard officiating. Burial will follow at Georgia National Cemetery.
