Charles Mcfarland

Charles B. McFarland, 63, of Cartersville passed away Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Cartersville Medical Center. Born July 22, 1949 in Jamestown, Kentucky he was the son of the late Joe Norris McFarland, Sr. and the late Lillian Betty Brookshire McFarland. Charles was a member of the Tri-County Cruisers Car Club and was employed by the Bartow County Road Department for 25 years.

Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Roberson McFarland; his children and their spouses, Michael and Renee McFarland, Ricky and Tina McFarland and Sherry Neer; his step-children and their spouses, Allen and Jan Hartness, Larry and Mary Hartness, Bobby and Julile Cagle Hartness, Mark Hartness and Justin and Terri Hartness; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe and Audrey McFarland and Bobby and Alice McFarland; ten grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 1, 2012 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Pleasant Valley Baptist Church Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Allen Hartness, Bobby Hartness, Larry Hartness, Mark Hartness, Ken Crane, Nathan Baker, and Frank Belknap. These gentlemen are asked to be at the funeral home by 1:15 on Tuesday.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.
