Charles Watson

Mr. Charles Watson, 79, of 1919 Blacks Bluff Road, Rome died Saturday in a local hospital.Mr. Watson was born March 16, 1927, son of the late John Thomas Watson and Nellie Clark Watson. He worked on the dairy farm with his parents and retired from Rome Housing Authority after fifteen years of employment. He was of the Baptist faith and was a veteran of World War II, serving with the United States Army in Germany. Mr. Watson was also preceded in death by a brother, Jack Watson and a sister, Delores Watson.Survivors include a number of cousins and friends.Graveside and interment services will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. today at the Bush Arbor Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverend J.B. Cantrell officiating.
