Charles Woodall

Mr. Charles Raymond "Ray" Woodall, 62, of Acworth, died Friday, February 8, 2019 at Redmond Regional Medical Center.

Born May 1, 1956 in Atlanta, he was a son of the late Raymond Woodall and Doris Earnhart. Ray was a Unites States Air Force veteran and an ordained minister, serving as a pastor at Bethel Worship Center. He worked for the City of Acworth for 20 years as the purchasing manager. Ray loved to fish, and loved woodworking. He played a big role as one of Santa's big helpers for the children at Christmastime. He was a connoisseur of movies and had a joyful soul. He loved to make people laugh. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Kenny Woodall.

Survivors include his son, Allen Woodall and his wife Jo Ellen of Villa Rica; his mother, Doris Earnhart of Hiawassee; sisters, Cindy Stewart, also of Hiawassee, Dana Morgan of Cartersville, and Connie Woodall of Franklin; brothers, Kenny Shiver of Hiawassee, Daryl Blankinship of Cartersville, and Sherman Woodall of Franklin; a granddaughter, Emaleigh Satterfield; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with The Reverend Scott Johnson officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton.
