Charlotte E. Harden, 81, of Cartersville, GA, a devoted mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully June 5, 2026, following a lengthy battle of health issues and dementia.
Born on November 4, 1944, in Cartersville, GA, Charlotte was the daughter of the late Robert and Katherine Bell. She graduated from Cartersville High School in 1962.
Charlotte devoted her entire life to serving the Lord. She began by committing to raising Godly children and grandchildren. Throughout her life she served God by teaching children/youth/and adult classes in the Baptist Church, working at the Floyd County Baptist Association, going on multiple mission trips and helping to coordinate Splash Bartow for many years. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and cooking for them. She was a very talented person and could sew, knit, crochet, cross-stitch, draw, paint, and write.
She is survived by her children, Marsha Walden (Crawford) of Rome, GA, Karen Boone (Ted) of Cartersville, GA, Doug Thacker (Joie) of Panama City, FL and Jon Thacker (Kristen) of Rome, GA; her grandchildren, Hunter, Haden, Ethan, Anna, Blaise, Reese, Sophie, Jack, and Crosby; her brother, Kenny Bell (Millie) of Cartersville, GA; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Harden, her brother, Carl Bell, and her parents, Robert and Katherine Bell.
A celebration of Charlotte’s life will be held at a later time.
