Christine Morris

Mrs. Christine Gordon Morris, 96, of Cartersville, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2012 at Townsend Park Health and Rehab. Born in Murray County, September 29, 1915, she was the daughter of the late James Poke Gordon and Laura Jane Barksdale Gordon. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Henry Marvin Morris; and her sons, Alvin Morris, Wayne Morris and Robert Morris.



Mrs. Morris was a member of the Church at Liberty Square.



She is survived by her daughter, Vneeda Fowler of Powder Springs; her sons, Charles Morris and daughter-in-law, Nancy Morris of Acworth and Edwin Morris of N. Augusta, SC; eight grandchildren; twenty four great-grandchildren; her daughter-in-law, Mary Joyce Morris of Cartersville; and several nieces and nephews.



Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Dr. Joe Edwards officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.



The family will receive friends from 6 � 8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
