Christine Thomas

Christine Teems Thomas, 92, of Cartersville passed away Saturday, December 31, 2011 at her residence. Born in Adairsville on October 4, 1919 she was the daughter of the late Oscar Lee Teems and the late Phena Perkins Teems. She was also preceded in death by her husband, D.T. Thomas; and her son, Jack Thomas.



Christine was a life long resident of Bartow County and was employed by Union Carbide for seventeen years until the time of her retirement. She was a member of the First Congregational Methodist Church and enjoyed cooking for all of her family. Christine loved her family dearly and made them her life focus.



Survivors include her sons, David Thomas of Cartersville, and Harvey Thomas of Fairview, Tennessee; her brother, Calvin Teems of Cartersville; her sister, Faye Henson of Cartersville; her special friend, Barbara Perine of Cartersville; her daughters-in-law, Jean Thomas, Jerrie Sue Thomas, Mary Thomas, Barbara Thomas, and Pat Thomas; and five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.



Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2012 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with the Reverend Nathan Sanders and the Reverend Wayne Rice officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.



Serving as pallbearers will be members of The First Congregational Methodist Church.



The family will receive friends from 6 � 8 p.m. Monday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.
