Christy Crossno

Born of English-Cherokee descent and a child of Appalachia, Mrs. Christy "Ree" Crossno, 48, of Cartersville, died Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at her residence, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Savannah, Georgia, April 22, 1964, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Bowling and the late Carolyn Young Bowling.
Ree was a homemaker and devoted mother, wife and friend. She was a happy person and always took time to stop and smell the roses. Her nickname "Happy" was given to her by her grandson, Jaylen.
She is survived by her husband, James Crossno; her children, Joseph, Mary and Bradley Crowe; her grandson, Jaylen Kayne Burgess; her brother, David Bowling; her sister, Stephanie Folsom; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 8, 2012 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Dr. Jim Speed and Deacon Walter E. Crowe officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends for two hours prior to the service on Saturday.
