Clara Hill

Clara Inez Hill, 89, of Cartersville died early Sunday morning May 15, 2011 at Cartersville Medical Center.



A native of Cartersville, Ms. Hill was born August 31, 1921, daughter of the late James Henry Alonzo Ponder and Alice Jane Keener Ponder. She had been a resident of Cartersville her entire life. In addition to her parents, Ms. Hill was preceded in death by a daughter Janice Jenkins March 16, 2001 and by four brothers John, Wes, Roy, and Reuben and by three sisters Annie, Parthenia, and Pearl.



Survivors include a son and daughter in law Reverend Bobby and Laura Hill; nine grandchildren, thirty two great grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren also survive.



Graveside funeral and interment services will be conducted at 2 PM Monday, May 16, 2011 at Sunset Memory Gardens with her grandson, Reverend Darwin Hill officiating. The family will receive friends this morning from 11:30 until 1:30 PM at the funeral home.
