Mr. Clarence Henry Arnold, age 87, of 2064 Bailey Road, Aragon, GA, died Thursday, July 13, 2006, in a local hospital.Mr. Arnold was born in Gordon County on July 18, 1918, the son of the late William Comer and Willie Ross Arnold. He was a member of Wax Baptist Church and served in the United States Army during World War II. Mr. Arnold retired from the carpet industry as a supervisor. He loved to fish, farm, and was a great mechanic. In addition to his parents, Mr. Arnold is preceded in death by his first wife, Mildred Pinson Arnold on March 6, 1976; his second wife, Maxine B. Arnold on July 3, 2003; two sons, Baby Arnold and Harvey M. Arnold ; a granddaughter, Tammie Bullock; and two brothers, William Arnold and Billy Arnold.Mr. Arnold is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara A. and Dillard Gentry of Aragon, GA and Clara A. and Terry Bullock of Silver Creek, GA; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great- grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, C.J. and Barbara Arnold of Cartersville, GA; and two sisters, Ruth Tidwell and Edna Wynn both of Cartersville. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 16, 2006, at 2:00 P.M. in the Heritage Chapel of the Jennings Funeral Home with Rev. Lavonne Ward officiating. Interment will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens with full military rites conferred by the Shanklin-Attaway Post 5 of the American Legion's Honor Guard.Mr. Arnold will remain in the Heritage Chapel of the Jennings Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and at other hours will be at their respective residents.The following gentlemen have been asked to serve as active pallbearers and are requested to meet in the Heritage Chapel of the Jennings Funeral Home on Sunday by 1:30 P.M.: Andy Gentry, Todd Bullock, Ted Bullock, Travis Bullock, Keith Satcher, and Steven Johnston.
