Clarence Burrell

Mr. Clarence A. Burrell, 79, of Cartersville died Tuesday, October 08, 2013 at Redmond Regional Hospital in Rome. Born April 17, 1934 in Murphy, NC, he was the son of the late Bass Burrell and the late Mamie Marie Taylor Burrell.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Essie Armnie Pendley Burrell; and a sister, Eva Nell Davis. Mr. Burrell was a member of Greers Chapel Baptist Church and retired from Lockheed Martin. He was a loving husband, father and paw-paw and enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He was also a recreational pilot.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Kirk and Leigh Anne Burrell of Taylorsville; three grandsons, Caleb, Drew and Payson Burrell; two sisters, Mildred Johnson of Ellijay and Kathleen Hostetler of Marietta.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 11, 2013 at Greers Chapel Baptist Church in Kennesaw with The Reverend David Baker officiating. The interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Burrell will be carried to the church on Friday to lie-in-state from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour. The family will receive friends from 5 – 8 p.m., Thursday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
