Clarence Heath, 81, of Cartersville died Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at his residence. A native of Bartow County, he was born April 18, 1928 and was the son of the late Edgar Lee Heath and the late Josephine Kiser Heath. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Shelia Sue Heath; his daughter-in-law, Linda Diane Heath; his grandson, Terry Eugene Heath; his granddaughter, Shannon Hamilton; and eleven brothers and sisters.
Mr. Heath retired from Philadelphia Carpet (Shaw Industries). He enjoyed playing pool, singing and playing his guitar, and working on cars with his son, David.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Ruby Jones Heath of Cartersville; his children, David and Sue Heath, Jimmy and Ida Mae Heath, and Shirley Hamilton, all of Cartersville, and Martha and Gary Mason of Dallas; his grandchildren, Greg Heath, Tammy Heath Cantrell, Kim Heath Nutter, Tim Heath, Tyson Heath, Denah Hamilton, Aric Hamilton, Dustin Cook, and Dondra Westbrook; and a number of great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 21, 2009 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Joe Land officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Aric Hamilton, Jeff Cantrell, Bobby Lanham, Gary Mason, Steven Westbrook, and Jerrell Stephens.
The family will receive friends from 5 � 9 p.m., Friday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville, GA 30120.
