It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Clarence Larry Warren Walker, who departed this life on Wednesday, April 1st, 2026, at the age of 76. Larry was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, whose warmth and wisdom touched the lives of all who knew him.
Born on Monday, March 27th, 1950, Larry grew to be a man of remarkable intelligence and curiosity - a true walking encyclopedia. His passion for history, photography, cooking, gardening, oil painting, and writing reflected a life lived with creativity and zest. Throughout his years, Larry not only pursued his interests but excelled in them, earning several awards for his photography and leaving behind a legacy of four insightful self-help Christian living books.
Larry's life was marked by service and devotion. In the early 1990s, he served as a dedicated chaplain at Scottish Rite and St. Joseph Hospitals in Atlanta, offering spiritual guidance and comfort to those in need. His dry sense of humor and kind heart were as notable as his many accomplishments.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Sharon Brown Noles Walker; his cherished children, Clarence Warren Walker II (Chaowanee), Stewart Selden Walker (Mima), and Jenny Caroline Walker; his stepson, Chris Noles; and his stepdaughter. Larry's legacy extends to his seven grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren, who will carry on his memory with love. He is also survived by his brother Kent Walker (Annie), sister-in-law Pat Walker, several nieces and nephews, many cousins, chiefly in South Carolina, brother-in-law Don Brown, sister-in-law Tammie Brown, and mother-in-law Barbara Brown.
Larry was preceded in death by his father, Rexford Walker, mother Edna Walker, and brother Tommy Walker. His memory will forever be cherished by all who were fortunate to know him.
Arrangements are being handled by Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services. At this time, no services are planned, but the family welcomes memories and expressions of sympathy.
In celebrating Larry's life, let us recall his love for the outdoors, his generosity of spirit, and his enduring contributions to his family, friends, and community. His wisdom and humor will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love will live on.
