Mr. Clayton Randolph Collins, 74, of White, widower of the late Jo Ann Norrell Collins, died Sunday, June 8, 2014 at his residence.

Born September 8, 1939 in Cashiers, NC, he was a son of the late Lawrence Randolph Collins and the late Lonas Love Collins. Mr. Collins was retired from the Bartow County Fire Department, and was the owner and operator of Collins Service Station & Towing and Collins Pottery in White for over 25 years. He was a very hard working man and enjoyed traveling. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Roger Dean Collins; step-grandson, Keith Buckner; and brothers, Gerald Collins, Blane Hawkins, and Eugene Collins.

Survivors include his sons, Randy Collins of White, Terry Collins of Rydal, and Jody Collins and his wife Paula of Cartersville; brothers, J.R. Collins and Rickey Collins, both of Cartersville; grandchildren, Deionna Collins of Rydal, Renee Collins of White, Emma Collins of Cartersville, Jacob Collins of Rydal, and Luke Collins of Cartersville; step-grandson, Chris Buckner; former daughters-in-law, Moneica Brown and Jayta Shinall; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with The Reverend Keith Willard and The Reverend Dudd Scoggins officiating. Interment will follow in the White United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 from 4 until 8:00 p.m.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Rickey Collins, Ken Taylor, Darrell Abernathy, Rob Tanner, Jimmy Cornwell, Colleen Cookren, and Amy Godwin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joel Huskins, Jimmy Norrell, David Jarrett, William Darby, J.R. Collins, and members of the Bartow County Fire Department.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation, 2575 Chantilly Drive, Atlanta, GA 30324 or online at www.gfbf.org in memory of Mr. Collins.
