Clifford Bridges

Mr. Clifford Bridges, age 68, of Calhoun, GA, formerly of Shannon, GA, died Friday, September 11, 2009 in a Calhoun hospital.



Mr. Bridges was born in Chattooga, GA on August 10, 1941, the son of the late Homer Bridges and Edith Kell Ellison. He retired from the United States Army after twenty years of service to his country and he received the Silver Star. He retired from the City of Rome in 2002 after sixteen years of service in the public works garage.



Survivors include his life partner, Donna Grogan of Calhoun, GA and a grandson, James B. Sparks of Calhoun, GA.



Graveside and interment services will be held Wednesday, September 16, 2009, at 1:00 P.M. in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with the Tennessee Army National Guard Honor Guard conducting military gravesite rites.



The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. in the Heritage Chapel of the McGuire, Jennings, & Miller Funeral Home.
