Clyde "Bobby" Bagley
September 22, 1944 — December 19, 2016
Mr. Bobby Bagley, 72, of Cartersville, passed away on Monday, December 19, 2016 at Mt. Berry Hospice in Rome. He was born on September 22, 1944 in Bartow County, the son of the late Clyde E. Bagley and Maxine Worthington Bagley.
Mr. Bagley was employed by Union Carbide during his working years. He was also a veteran , having served in the United States Army. Mr. Bagley was an active member of the GEORGIA TRIBE OF EASTERN CHEROKEE and held the chair of the Cherokee Indian Historian. He was a contributor and board member of Bartow Ancestors, Inc. and board member of the Bartow Ancestors Cemetery Fund.
Survivors include his wife, Teresa Burke Bagley; his children, Kelly Jo and Bob Meeks and Janice Michelle Bagley; his step-son, Jamie Pilcher; his sister, Jeannette and Robert Thomas; three half- brothers; six grandchildren; one step great-grandchild; along with one nephew.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 23, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Tony Ross and The Assistant Ceremonial Chief of the Long Valley Stomp Grounds of the Kituwah Tribe of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma, Tom Woodward officiating. Interment will follow in Zion Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 – 8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jamie Pilcher, Michael Hines, Michael Crowe, Barney Turner, Brian Earick and Robert Gilstrap.
