Connie Watson

Mrs. Connie Watson, 59, of Cartersville, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2011 at her residence. Born in Mansfield, Louisiana on October 4, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Annie Bell Smith Temple and the late Newton Elijah Temple. She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Newton �Buddy� Temple; her sisters, Laverne Morris and Mary Helen Morris; and her grandson, Cory Crutchfield.



Mrs. Watson was employed by Bartow County DFCS as a program assistant. She came from a very large family and was very family oriented, had a gentle and calm spirit about her, always willing to help others even a total stranger. She was a very loving and caring soul and was the world�s best cook. She loved to cook for her family and anyone else who was there. She was the best wife and mama anyone could ever ask for.



She is survived by her husband of thirty nine years, Clyde Dennis Watson, Jr. of Cartersville; her daughters and sons-in-law, Amiee Crutchfield and Candi and Tom Norwood; her grandchildren, Alexa Crutchfield, Stephen Norwood, Samantha Norwood and Taylor Norwood; her mother-in-law, Pauline Ledford; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Claudine and Al Howard of Teneha, Texas, Marie and Troy Rascoe of Pagosa Springs, Colorado and Maxine and Raymon Collins of Arkansas, Jo Morris, of Louisiana and Dorothy Prine of Tennessee.



Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 20, 2011 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Reverend Charles Ivey officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.



Serving as pallbearers will be nephews, Pat Roscoe, Kevin Wood and Kip Wood; son-in-law, Tom Norwood; Robert Lanham; and brother-in-law, Al Howard.



The family will receive friends from 6 � 9 p.m., Tuesday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville.
