Cora Lee Cagle, 72, of Cartersville, passed away on Saturday, October 05, 2013 at Maple Ridge Health Care Center.
Born on May 29, 1941, in Calhoun she was the daughter of the late J.B. William Freeman and the late Nora Elizabeth Floyd. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Beatrice Easterwood and Ruby Trotter; her brothers, J.W. Freeman, Robert Freeman, Gene Freeman and Alfred Lee Freeman. Cora was a member of New Canaan Baptist Church and will be remembered as a people person with a heart of gold.
Survivors include her son, Joe Deams of Cartersville; her sister, Alpha Lowry of Cartersville; her brothers, Tommy Freeman of Adairsville and Lewis Freeman of Taylorsville; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 7, 2013 at New Canaan Baptist Church with the Reverend Larry Towe officiating. The body will lie in state from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the church. Interment will follow in Cassville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Sunday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home.
