Cora Kinsey

Cora Kinsey, 88, of Resaca, passed away peacefully at her home, on September 26, 2021, and joined her son Barry, who she missed dearly.

Born on February 10, 1933, in Blue Ridge, Georgia she was the daughter of the late Cleve and Mandy Dotson. She was also preceded in death by her son, George Barry Tatum; sisters Jean Kimmons and Grace Dotson; and her son-in-law Donald Ogle.

Cora was employed with Mohawk Carpet Industries for over 20 years. She could sing and loved listening to her gospel music. She took excellent care of her house; it was always clean and spotless. She loved flowers and her houseplants. She enjoyed working in her yard and being outside.

Survivors include her son Mike (Dixie) Dotson; daughter Melody Ogle; grandchildren Marie Dotson, Keshia (Ernest Zamora) Hartline, Chris (Alicia) Reed, Ashlie Hefner, Brittney (Justin) Worthing, Caleb Dotson, Nicole Ogle, Adam Ogle, and Frank Ogle; 14 Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home on Monday, October 4, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 4, 2021, at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home, with Lamar Beason officiating. Her burial will follow at Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Worthing, Chris Reed, Ernest Zamora, and Caleb Dotson.
