Cora Mincey

June 25, 1940 — May 3, 2024

Cora Roseanne Mincey, 83 of Cartersville, Georgia, left to be with the Lord on May 3, 2024. She was born on June 25, 1940, in Oak Hill, West Virginia to the late Alonzo Tyler and the late Maxine Terry Tyler. She is also preceded in death by her son Gilbert Owen Perry III and her daughter Emily Kay Smith.

Rose was a retired United Methodist Minister of the Holston Conference in Tennessee. She served in the United States Air Force.

Survivors include her husband, Joe Lawrence; daughter, Louisa Perry Thacker and husband Greg; granddaughter Ann Thacker Placher and husband Dylan; grandson Alan Thacker; great grandchildren Sawyer and Emerie Rose; sisters Emily Butler and husband Bud and Martha Hatfield; and several nieces and nephews.

A service for Rose will be held at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at Georgia National Cemetery. All friends and family are welcome to join the procession from Parnick Jennings Funeral Home to Georgia National Cemetery. The procession will leave the funeral home promptly at 12:30 p.m.
