Crystal Elzey

Mrs. Crystal Ellison Elzey, 44, of Cartersville passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at Cartersville Medical Center.

Born in Floyd County on November 7, 1968, she was the daughter of Leslie H. Ellison, Sr. and Charlene Ellison Evans. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Jim Bevels, J.B. Godfrey and Elmer and Hazel Ellison. Crystal was a member of Westridge Church and past President of the Cass High School Band Boosters where she was a mother to many children. She loved her family, friends and her dogs and enjoyed spending time with them. She also enjoyed going camping. Crystal was employed by Elzey Dental of Adairsville as an office administrator.

She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Michael Elzey of Cartersville; her sons, Michael Elzey, Jr and wife, Cindy and Marcus Elzey and wife, Whitley all of Cartersville; her sister, Anissa Ellison of Cartersville; her brother, Leslie Ellison, Jr. and wife, Tiffany of Cartersville; her maternal grandmother, Betty Bevels; her niece and nephews, Lexi Caroline Ellison, Conner Ellison and Gordon Elzey; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jeff and Judy Mashburn of Adairsville; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Chris and Jennifer Elzey of Cartersville; her BFF's, Amy Stephens, Tammy Lipscomb and Lori Lewis; special friends, Tony and Kim Canup and many extended relatives.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, August 25, 2013 at Westridge Church, 245 S. Tennessee Street, Cartersville, Ga. with The Reverend James Griffin officiating. Mrs. Elzey will be carried to the church on Sunday where she will lie in state for one hour prior to the service. The family will receive friends from 5 – 8 p.m. on Saturday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

Members of the Bartow County EMS will be serving as pallbearers.
