Daisy Newsome

Daisy Merle Scott Newsome, 77, of Cartersville passed away Friday, July 9, 2010 at Cartersville Medical Center. Born in Bainbridge, Georgia, August 26, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Paul Thomas Scott and the late Vera Mae Hutto Scott. She was of the Baptist faith, was a very personable person and loved to fish.



Preceding her in death along with her parents are her husband, Leo Newsome and her siblings, Elmer �Pat� Scott, Tanksley Hutto, Lonnie Chester Scott, Forester Scott, Junior Hutto, Mary Catherine Hooks and Willie Virginia Nix.



Survivors include her children, Alvin Charles Henderson and William Edward Scott; her grandchildren, Tangila R. Bowers, Daisy J. Harrison, Charles M. Henderson, William Edward Scott, Jr. and Terry Lee Allen Scott and ten great-grandchildren.



Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 12, 2010 at Cox Funeral Home in Bainbridge. Burial will follow in Brinson Cemetery.
