Danny Holder

Mr. Danny Lee Holder, age 52, of 6788 New Calhoun Hwy, Rome, GA, died Thursday, December 30, 2004, in a local hospital.Mr. Holder was born in Guilford County, NC on July 6, 1952, son the late Grady and Nellie Tolbert Akins. He was a member of Pleasant Valley South Baptist Church, loved his grandchildren, enjoyed fishing and gardening, and was very compassionate. He was self-employed at his business All American Carpet Care Inc. where he loved his work. Survivors include his wife, Beth Barrow Holder to whom he was married on June 11, 1999; daughter and son-in-law Dana and Doyle Crawford of Pell City, Al,; step-daughter, Julie Auston of Rome; two step-sons, Brad and Chad Crowe of Rome; three grandchildren; Abby Lynn Bowman of Pell City, Al, Seth Crowe of Rome, and Kailee Auston of Rome; one brother and sister-in-law, Max and Teresa Akins of Rome; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty Jo and John Hiatt of Greensboro, NC, Nan and Larry Otting of Rome. Several nieces and nephews also survive, Funeral service for Mr. Holder will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, January 3, 2005, in the Heritage Chapel of the Jennings Funeral Home with the Rev. John Dorsey and Rev. Bobby Baker officiating. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.Mr.Holder will remain at the Heritage Chapel of the Jennings Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. and at other hours will be at their residence.The following gentlemen have been asked to serve as active pallbearers and are requested to meet at the Heritage Chapel of the Jennings Funeral Home at 12:15 P.M. Monday: Joe, Tim, Kyle, and Jody Otting, Drew Herring, Doug Cooper, Doyle Crawford, and David Smith.
