Darrien William Blackmon, infant son of Melinda Blackmon and Martin Gabriel passed away Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Cartersville Medical Center. He was born October 26, 2010 in Bartow County. Darrien is preceded in death by his great-grandfather, Bobby William Fox and uncles, Jimmy and Jerry Blackmon.
Survivors include his parents, Melinda Blackmon and Martin Gabriel; his brother, Tristan Lee Blackmon; his grandparents, Ronnie and Diane Blackmon; his great- grandparents, Mary Wade and Jimmy and Lois Blackmon along with an uncle, Joshua Lee Blackmon.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 18, 2011 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. I.L. Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 � 9 p.m. Thursday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville.
