David Bishop

Mr. David Bishop, 71, of Emerson, died Thursday, November 13, 2014 at his residence.

Born February 10, 1943 in Charleston, SC, he was a son of the late Homer Bishop and the late Louise Johnson Bishop. Mr. Bishop was a member of Lakepoint Church, and a ham radio operator. He was a people person who loved to joke and cut up. He loved his family dearly and enjoyed the ocean and seafood.

Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Betty Jo Bishop; his children, Tracy Royal, Annissa Ertley, Ernie Sanchez, and Shannon Crutcher; his siblings, Faye Flowers, Debbie Tune, Ricky Bishop, and Kelly Bishop; grandchildren, Kayla Poss, Faith Royal, Jesse Ertley, Luke Ertley, Anna Sanchez, Zack Lineberger, Nichole Lineberger, Joseph Hancock, and Brittney Dobbs; great-grandchildren, Kinleigh Bree Poss, and Joey Hancock; one great-grandchild on the way, Matthew Weldon; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with Pastor Frank Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 15, 2014 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Mike McCall, Ronnie Stover, John Randall, Kevin Hay, Zach Lineberger, Roger Smith, and Ryan Crutcher. Honorary Pallbearers will be Hayden Hughes and Ernie Sanchez.
