David Jackson

David Harold Jackson, 60, of Cartersville, passed away on Friday, February 11, 2022 at Redmond Regional Hospital in Rome.

Born August 6, 1961, in Marietta, he was a son of the late Harold Jackson and the late Johnnie Brannon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Sandra Jackson and his sisters Brenda Smith and Shirley Vickers.

Survivors include his son, David Anthony Jackson and his wife Dora Morehouse; daughters Amber Williams and her husband Kent Williams, and Bobbie McCord; grandchildren Lydia Jackson, Nylie Jackson, Rilynn Williams, T.K. Williams, Cole Williams, Ellison Williams, Shyanne McCord, Dakota McCord, and Fallon McCord.

David was a self-avowed hippy. He was a musician, a singer, he played the guitar, and he even made his own musical instruments. He was a gospel singer and was very involved with the church when he could be. He was very friendly, talkative, outgoing, and fun to be around.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with Reverend Keith Willard officiating. Interment will follow in Old Macedonia Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 17, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
