Survivors include his wife, Margie Johnson; his children, Shelia Johnson, and Kim and Kelly Smith; his step-children, Tim and Tammy Turley, Mike and Gina Turley, Michelle and Byron Knight, and Charlie and Renee Falco; his sister, Bettye Wilson; his brother, Robert Johnson; and his grandchildren, Cody Wierzbicki, Kayla Minter, Brandon and Lauren Turley , Kristi Turley, Tori and Zac Taylor, Nick and Sydney Falco, Byron, Callie and Quinn Knight, and Tyler and Tanner Turley.
