David Otting, 49, of Fayetteville, Georgia died Thursday, April 3, 2008. Born in Bartow County on April 11, 1958, he was the son of Aaron Otting and the late Alene Baskin Otting.
David was a graduate of Cartersville High School and was the owner and operator of Imagine That Salon. He loved his children and was a dedicated father who sacrificed greatly for them. David worked with the Boy Scouts and coached Little League Baseball. He also enjoyed fishing, sunrises and sunsets. David was a licensed, certified Sea Captain, and as a certified Bar-b-que judge, he traveled all over the nation.
Survivors include his daughter, Tiffany Otting of Cartersville; his sons, Ian and Miles Otting of Peachtree City; his parents, Aaron and Elaine Otting of Cartersville; his sisters and brothers-in-law; Donna and Doug Cobb of Cartersville, Kim Burns of Atlanta, and Kristy and Kelly Mathis of Cartersville; and his loving nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Monday, April 7, 2008 at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Parnick Jennings and David Gayton officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday during the hour prior to the service.
