David Smith

Mr. David Randall Smith, 54, of Cartersville, died suddenly on Monday January 25, 2016. He was born on August 10, 1961 in Stevenson, Alabama and was the son of Clara Davis Smith Sanford and the late David R. Smith.
David was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed spending time with his daughter, playing golf and feeding the birds and animals. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his uncle, Jimmy T. Davis.
Survivors include his daughter, Katlin Smith; his mother, Clara E. Sanford; his step-father, Jesse Sanford; his brother, Eddie Smith and wife, Mechelle; his step-brother, Jesse J. Sanford and wife, Laura; his niece and nephews Josh and Nicole Smith, Jacob Smith and Shannon Lee and Clayton Patterson; his great-nephew, Grayson Smith; his close friend, Bobby all of Paulding County; his aunts, Betty Jo Hocraft and Mary Barnes from Stevenson, Alabama, and Kay and Phil Metcalf of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 13, 2016 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with The Reverend Donnie Summey officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday for one hour prior to the service.
